![]() ( The Concert For Bangla Desh was originally an Apple release. Harrison liked to keep his own projects separate from the Beatles' products despite the Apple association. (Rhino is Warners re-issue subsidiary, and for Rhino read Warners.) My guess is that Harrison before his death or his estate after his death may have negotiated a separate video deal. The Concert for George was released on DVD by Warners, as well. I'm not certain about the corporate contractual arrangements regarding the re-release of this on DVD and CD. (Pretty cynical stuff for a charitable project.) Dylan was perceived as THE special guest performer and headliner at the concerts (note that his slotted appearance on the bill climaxes the show) and Davis knew he could use that as leverage. Columbia was Dylan's label and Clive Davis (then head of the label) threatened to withhold any of Dylan's performances unless Columbia was cut in for a piece of the action.
